Zoning Districts:


AGRICULTURAL-SUBURBAN ESTATE (A-SER) - To protect the decreasing supply of prime agricultural land and open space to permit a degree of low density single family dwellings.

The following uses are permitted:

  • Agricultural dwellings, barns and their accessory uses and buildings;
  • The growing and selling, either retail, or wholesale, of all types of agricultural produce, livestock and appurtenant products produced on the premises and resulting from agriculture, farming, dairying, pasturage, apiculture, horticulture, floriculture, viticulture and animal and poultry husbandry;
  • Single family dwelling houses and their accessory uses and buildings, exclusive of trailers, house trailers, or manufactured homes
    • Only one single family dwelling per lot is permitted.
  • Governmental and public buildings;
  • Public service facilities.



RESIDENCE A - To encourage the establishment of low density single family dwellings.

The following uses are permitted:

  • All uses allowed in an Agricultural District;
  • Single family dwellings and their accessory uses and buildings, exclusive of trailers or house trailers.
    • Only one single family dwelling per lot is permitted.


RESIDENCE B - To permit the establishment of medium density one and two family dwellings.

The following uses are permitted:

  • All uses allowed in a Residence A District;
  • Two (2) family dwellings and their accessory uses and buildings, exclusive of trailers, house trailers, or manufactured homes.
    • Only one single family or one duplex dwelling structure per lot is permitted.



RESIDENCE C - To permit the establishment of medium density multiple family dwellings.

The following uses are permitted:

  • All buildings, structures and uses permitted in Residence B Districts;
    • Single family dwellings and two family dwellings (duplexes)
  • Multiple family dwellings.



RESIDENCE D - To encourage the development of mobile home parks and manufactured home
developments in a well-planned environment.

The following uses are permitted:

  • Mobile Home Parks and their accessory uses.
  • Campgrounds which accommodate trailers and recreational vehicles.
  • Manufactured Home Developments.



COMMERCIAL A - To encourage the establishment of professional, administrative, clerical and
similar uses; and also to encourage the establishment of limited pocket areas for small convenient businesses which are intended to meet the daily or regular needs of the residents of an immediate neighborhood. Excessive strip development within this district shall be prohibited by maximum size and location limitations. It is intended to encourage use by pedestrian as well as the motoring resident.

The following uses are permitted:

  • All uses permitted in a Residence B District;
    • Single family dwellings and two family dwellings (duplexes).
  • Administrative offices carrying on no retail trade with the general public and having no stock or goods for sale to customers,
  • Professional offices engaged in providing tangible and intangible services to the general public, involving both persons and their possessions, such as;
  • Retail Businesses which supply commodities or perform services primarily for the residents of the local community including but not limited to the following:
  • Transient Venders



COMMERCIAL B - To encourage the establishment of areas to meet the needs of both regional
and local market areas.

The following uses are permitted:

  • All permitted uses and conditionally permitted uses in a Commercial A District.
    • Single family dwellings and two family dwellings (duplexes).
  • Commercial Broadcasting Stations, Communication Stations, Communication Towers, Radio Towers, Cell Telephone Towers and their accessory uses.



INDUSTRIAL - To encourage the establishment and development of light industrial, storage, and
warehousing uses, and to encourage the development of major manufacturing, processing,
warehousing, and major research and testing operations.

The following uses are permitted:

  • Single family dwellings and two family dwellings (duplexes).
  • All uses permitted within a Commercial A and Commercial B District.
  • Commercial Broadcasting Stations, Communication Stations, Communication Towers, Radio Towers, Cell Telephone Towers and their accessory uses.
